Who's ready for the 55th annual championship game?
Super Bowl Sunday is one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year! This year will be the 55th annual championship game, closing off the 2020 NFL season. Usually, about 70,000 fans gather at a jam-packed stadium and millions observe at home, a gathering, or a bar, but unfortunately, this year will look a little different...
With so many events being canceled in the past year, it would be saddening to not celebrate such an event. With only 20% of the stadium's capacity being permitted, many people will not be able to attend the Super Bowl in person. Those following protocol will also not be going to their local bars or restaurants - what does this leave us with?
Celebrate at home!
Order some food - you can never go wrong with some pizza or wings. This way, you can support some small, local businesses and enjoy all the greasy super bowl classics!
Have a BBQ - gather your family and have a small bbq while you watch the game - you'd be surprised how much bonding can happen.
Keep it small - limit the gathering to your household, if possible. If the neighbors want to join, maybe take the gathering to the backyard...
Celebrate with friends virtually - get on a group video call with all your friends and see their reactions to who gets the first touchdown!
Just watch the commercials - I mean, who really watches the game anyway...
It's been a hard year, but there's still a way to enjoy the little things - or the big game! Remember to have fun, be safe and root for your favorite team.
