4th of July Celebration
It's that time of the year again! In honor of 4th of July being just around the corner we are providing you with a delicious, easy to bake, apple pie recipe.
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1–2 teaspoons cinnamon
Dash of salt
About 5 cups thinly sliced apples (peeled and cored)
8-10 medium apples
2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
1 egg white + 1 tablespoon water
Mix the first 5 listed items into a medium-sized bowl
Place the uncooked pie crust at the bottom of the pie plate
Take the mixed items from Step 1 and pour it into the pie plate. Place small pieces of butter on top of the poured mixture
Place the second layer of uncooked pie crust to seal the pie. Cutting in slits to allow steam to vent out
Mix the egg white and tablespoon of water into a small separate bowl and proceed to brush the mixture to create a coating on the top of the pie with sugar before baking.
Bake at 450 for 15 minutes, lowering down to 350 degrees for an additional 30-40 minutes (or until the top has become a golden shade).
If the edge seems to turn brown, cover the edge with foil for the last 20 minutes
Let the pie cool for 10 minutes and enjoy!
